Memorial Day Celebration

  • The morning starts with a Pancake Breakfast at the Hickory Corners Fire Department from 7:00-9:30 a.m.
  • The Parade begins at 10:00 a.m. sharp
  • Parade starts at the west end of town at Cadwallader Park – proceeds east through town and ends at the East Hickory Corners Cemetery
  • We normally have between 125-150 participants (weather permitting)
  • Some of the highlights of the parade include the Shriner’s Mini-T’s, the Gull Lake High School and Delton High School bands. Immediately following the parade, there are Memorial Services at the East Hickory Corners Cemetery, honoring our departed comrades. Our guest speaker this year will be Retired Colonel Frank J Walker. We are also scheduled for a flyover.
  • Following our Memorial Services is a Pulled Pork, Chicken Basket $10 or Hot Dog basket $5 at Simmonds-Williams American Legion Post 484.
  • Veterans, Police, Fire, EMS, and Scouts in uniform: Free
